Thera-Business is proud to celebrate our CEO, Dr. Red Thaddeus D. Miguel, on winning first place in the Kellogg College Creative Writing Competition 2025.
This year’s competition, held in association with the Centre for Creative Writing, was especially significant as it marked the 20th anniversary of the University of Oxford’s prestigious Master of Studies in Creative Writing program. Submissions were invited on the theme of “Celebration,” with entries spanning poetry, fiction, drama, and non-fiction.
Dr. Miguel’s winning poem, described by the judges as “lyrical and emotionally charged,” explores grief, survival, and quiet resilience in the context of loss and end-of-life care.
“This poem came from the memory of the first patient I lost. I was a very young doctor, still learning how to carry both science and sorrow.”
